Party Ideas For Kids: Party Food Girls Love

If you are in the process of planning an ‘all girls’ party, the menu is probably the most important aspect of the event … depending on age of the guests. Whatever you do, don’t just throw together a few things at the last minute. The key to a great party is serving foods that girls love.

Most girls love to bake. You can easily take advantage of this fact and incorporate baking into the party festivities. Pizza is always a big hit. Purchase pre made pizza dough from the refrigerator case in the diary section. One medium pizza is enough to serve two girls. The day before the party grate cheeses, slice mushrooms, green peppers, pineapple, tomatoes, scallions, and onions. Offer sliced pepperoni pre cooked sausage, hamburger, chicken, and ham. Spinach, basil leaves, parsley, and other chopped fresh herbs can be offered as well. Put all the ingredients out, with tomato pizza sauce, and let the girls put together the pizza of their dreams. Whip up a salad and fruit smoothies in a variety of flavors. The girls will love you for it!

Girls can make giant cookies and decorate them before or after baking. Use the pre made cookie dough from the refrigerator case. Slice the cookies as directed but instead of baking individually; put four of the slices together to make a giant cookie. Top with chocolate, butterscotch, or peanut flavored baking chips, coconut, nuts, and mini candies.

A veggie tray accompanied by a variety of yummy dips is usually a pretty safe bet. Vegetables can include: broccoli florettes, mushrooms, cauliflower, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes and green, red, and yellow pepper strips. You can buy the dips already made or choose to make them yourself. Homemade dips will probably be more appreciated. To boost the nutrition of the dip make it with cottage cheese whirled smooth in a blender instead of the mayonnaise or sour cream. Or replace half of the mayonnaise/sour cream with the cottage cheese.

A fruit tray with strawberries, grapes, pineapple, and small whole peaches, plums, and nectarines is pretty and can stay at room temperature. Or slice the top off a medium seedless watermelon, scoop out the fruit with a melon baler, mix with frozen fruits and replace in the watermelon shell.

Another great idea for a girl’s party is a ‘potato bar’. There aren’t many girls who dislike baked potatoes. Setting up this mini buffet will give them the opportunity to create the perfect, yummy, potato. Potatoes can be baked in advance and easily re-heated, in foil.

Serve a variety of toppings such as flavored butters, sour cream, homemade bacon bits, diced ham, broccoli florettes, olives, several different kinds of shredded cheese, salsa, sauted mushrooms and onions and anything else suitable enough to put on a potato. The potatoes can then be reheated in the oven so they’re hot and any cheese is melted.

Take the bar theme to tacos, burritos, even mini hamburgers or hot dogs with lots of condiments. And of course there’s always an ice cream sundae bar for dessert.

Actively involving the girls in the cooking process, or offering a food bar, gets the fun going fast and as a bonus each girl will find something she really likes to eat.

Corporate Christmas Party Ideas

Planning for a corporate Christmas never is too early or too late. This is because, most companies, especially in Toronto regard, this as one of the most important occasion of the year. That means most companies will start early in budgeting, preparing and inviting guests to the party. Most people and companies will also start booking locations early to ensure they get the reservations before everyone else. Some Toronto destinations will usually have bookings done even years in advance. Thus, corporate Christmas party ideas need advance planning if it they are to be implemented successful.

In Toronto, many organizations and individuals come up with different ideas on how to throw a Christmas party. One of the important corporate Christmas party ideas that should not be left out is hiring a DJ. Many DJ services have specialized in entertaining guest at parties. Most have been doing that for years and will most likely have had prior experience entertaining a Christmas party. The high demand for DJ services in Toronto is undoubtedly one of the reasons they have gained the needed skills and experience to enliven a Christmas party. While hiring a DJ is important, hiring the right DJ should also be taken seriously. This is because many DJs in Toronto, despite having had a lot of experience in entertaining guests, some may not have the needed qualifications to keep the party going. A lot of wedding DJs will attest to the fact that they have had little experience in working in a Christmas environment.

Hiring a DJ will require one to do an interview and make sure he or she makes the right decision when it comes to entertaining the guests. Many DJs have a portfolio of their previous work experience. Many will also be willing to offer contact information of their former clients. In this way, it will be easy to find out if the client was impressed by the services of the DJ or not. A qualified disk jockey will also need to have the latest equipments and accessories. Some DJs are usually affiliated with a particular entertainment company while may be part of a wedding or funeral house that caters for all the needs of those events.

Hiring some of these companies is a good way to have all in one package. Hiring an entertainment company will greatly reduce the stress and efforts that go into arranging for a successful party. Some party throwers decide to give a party some theme or style. Since corporate Christmas parties are times to get to know the other colleague from work, it should not be concentrated on eating. It also means that a DJ service should respect one’s wishes and avoid putting an unusually high volume or wrong forms of music that would be a distraction keeping people away from talking. Dancing music should also be carefully selected so that it falls at the right time. From the above, it is clear that a corporate Christmas should be given careful thought and especially so when hiring DJ services.

Tinker Bell Party Entertainment: Games and Activities For Your Fairy Guests

If you are planning a Tinker Bell party one of the most important items on your party checklist is the entertainment.  Creative Tinker Bell games and activities will create memories of the party that will last months.  While the decorations and cake are important, do not overlook the essential role of the Tinker Bell party entertainment.

Plan your Tinker Bell party games around the interests of the party girl.  Remember that most games can be adapted to the Tinker Bell theme with a little bit of creativity.  However, here are some Tinker Bell game and activity suggestions that have been well-received.

For young guests who like to move around, consider fairy races.  If the girls have dress-up fairy wings, use them.  The races can either be regular races or obstacle course races.  An obstacle course can be set up using small cones or rope.  If you are holding the party at a park, you have more options using the playground equipment.  But even a backyard will work well.

If your guests like crafts, let them add fairy dust (glitter) to a picture of Tinker Bell or one of her fairy friends.  This can be a messy activity, so make sure you set it up in an area that can be easily cleaned.  The back porch works well.  Make sure you have a Tinker Bell picture for each guest.  A Tinker Bell coloring book is the easiest way to get a variety of pictures, and the guests can choose their favorite fairy picture.

The first step is to color the picture.  Then to make the wings sparkle, outline the wings with Elmer’s glue and pour a small amount of glitter on the paper.  Shake the paper around to spread the glitter on the wings.  Let the glue dry and by the end of the party, it will be ready to take home.

For guests who are very familiar with the new Tinker Bell movie, a fairy guess-who game can be fun.  Give clues about each fairy and see if the girls can guess which fairy it is.   In addition to Tink, give clues about Rosetta, Silvermist, Fawn and Iridessa.  This is a trivia game your guests will love to play, especially if they have watched the movie often.

Have fun with your Tinker Bell party games, and activities.  But remember, guests will appreciate any game that is adapted to the Tinker Bell theme.
